GET TO KNOW FAC/UNDO

FAC/UNDO is a Berlin based Argentine independent electronic-pop artist, whose approach to pop music is a cathartic endeavour through the topics of sexuality, self-image and acceptance. Some of his inspirations include The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, and Robyn. The artist’s name comes from his name in Spanish (Facundo), highlighting the word UNDO within it to express the artist’s desire to reverse the effects of previous repressive decisions in his life through his music:

“My music, in its initial form, has a cathartic nature to me and has helped me to reverse the effects on my mind that repressing myself for so long had. I want to use my music to release and provide relief from my repressed emotions, to bring about discussions of topics that are not so easy for me to talk about, but that are easier for me to sing.”

BREAKING POINT is FAC/UNDO’s second release, and the second track in his upcoming debut EP, RAINBOW CATHARSIS. This EP will be FAC/UNDO’s revisitation of the different stages in his coming out journey, blending different subgenres of pop such as electronic pop, pop rock and synthwave, with deep lyrics that invite the listener to discover more.

Following on the straight romance story of WELCOME TO THE CLUB, FAC/UNDO’S first single, BREAKING POINT dives deeper into the artist’s relationship with himself during the early stages of secretly coming to terms with his sexuality, in an analogy that puts him against the mirror physically and emotionally. Throughout the song, the listener will understand the rocky path between self-hatred and acceptance, as FAC/UNDO battles with two reflections of his own self: the judgemental version and the loving version, who at the end of the song reminds us that it will get better.

The artist is also continuing his blog for this release, where he will be discussing more about this episode of his life and sharing learnings with his readers. This follows after having made the same blog post for WELCOME TO THE CLUB, and will be true for all releases that form RAINBOW CATHARSIS. Listeners are invited to read the artist’s blog at itsfacun.do/blog
